No, you won’t have to sleep (or not sleep) on the train, but rather in full comfort in some of Canada’s highest quality properties. Have you ever wanted to stay at the Chateau Frontenac in Quebec City? Well, here’s your chance and at an affordable cost! CNR (the Canadian National 
RR) built luxury hotels along their route, and the Chateau Frontenac is one of them. You also overnight at these hotels in Toronto, Ontario at the Royal York, Ottawa, Ontario at the Chateau Laurier, and the Queen Elizabeth in Montreal, Quebec. Some of Toronto’s exciting activities encompass a large range of ethnic neighborhoods and unique shops. One of the world’s finest architectural feats includes the awesome CN Tower. Ottawa (Canada’s beautiful capital city) is resplendent with thousands upon thousands of blooming tulips in the spring -a gift from the citizens of Holland to Canada each spring. Why, you ask? Come and find the answer yourself. Drink in the natural beauty of fascinating Montreal, with a distinct European flair. Then historic Quebec City is sure to capture your absolute attention in all her finery!

ITINERARY

Day 1, Tuesday, May 18th – Your transcontinental flight takes you into your neighbor to the north - beautiful Toronto, Ontario. During your two night stay you will be able to inhale and enjoy this attractive city –Toronto is Canada’s financial capital, fashion capital, and theatre capital. You may choose an optional play one of the next two nights. Your Tour Director can help you with this, and a list of selections will be sent to you when available. A local tour guide meets us at the Toronto Airport. On our way into Canada’s largest city (about five million people), the guide acquaints you with the city. After our check-in at the Royal York, the guide escorts you on a fascinating introduction to the Toronto Underground.
Day 2, Wednesday, May 19th – A morning tour of this great city awaits you. Following the tour, get prepared to get high. An included lunch is 115 stories high and 1122 feet above the city on the CN tower! The rest of the day is yours to explore at leisure. (L)
Day 3, Thursday, May 20th – You board your first VIA rail delightful trip this morning. The amenities on board surely make this a pleasant journey on your way to the beautiful capital city, Ottawa, Ontario. Ottawa was named after the Algonquin people, the Odawa! It was located on the Ottawa River also known as the Kichi Sibi meaning Grand or Great River. Ottawa also borders the province of Quebec and they are connected by several bridges. In 1857, Queen Victoria appointed Ottawa as the country’s capital. We will tell you just why she chose Ottawa.
Vibrant Ottawa is resplendent at Tulip Time and considered one of the most colorful sites in North America, and is yours to take in on your arrival tour. A definite Kodak moment – bring lots of film.

The tour includes a visit to Commissioner Park where you will view over 300,000 tulips all in bloom. The tour continues through the tulip route of this beautiful capitol city. Prior to arrival at our hotel, dinner is included at a Canadian Institution. Dinner on the famous Rideau Canal is where Presidents and Prime Ministers dine, so why shouldn’t you? From dinner, it’s on to the famous five-star Chateau Laurier for the next two nights. (D)

Day 4, Friday, May 21st – There is so much to do and see in this extraordinary city and we cram as much in as possible without killing you off! The Rideau Canal, the outdoor market, unique boutiques, and great history will all be yours to enjoy with a local guide. Your tour includes: Embassy Row, Governor General’s property and, of course, the Prime Minister’s residence. More tulips are on the agenda and a visit to the world famous RCMP Parade horses and stables! An afternoon tour of the Canadian Parliament is also included. 

Day 5, Saturday, May 22nd – Following two exciting days in Ottawa, your rail experience takes you to Canada’s second largest city, Montreal, Quebec. History and culture abound in this charismatic city. Montreal is a walking city, but it is also easy to get around using public transportation. Take the time to truly breathe in the many attractions available. This first afternoon, a 
local guide takes you on a modest rate walk past Place Jacques Cartier, historic Bonsecours Market, Montreal’s city hall, Chateau Ramezay and much more. Dinner tonight is at a very fun restaurant pub. (D)

Day 6, Sunday, May 23rd – This morning, enjoy another coach city tour. You will be amazed at Montreal’s sky scratchers. The tour highlights the sea port, Olympic Park, Notre-Dame and so much more!

Day 7, Monday, May 24th – Today, VIA Rail takes you to charming Quebec City for a two night stay. Your centrally located hotel is inside one of the only two walled cities in North America. Where is the other one? Many delightful excursions have been included during the next two days. This afternoon, your Hyde escort can’t wait to show you incredible sights within a two block area next to the world-famous Chateau Frontenac, where you are staying. You will be mesmerized.
Day 8, Tuesday, May 25th – Your day tour with a local (wild) guide is more different than any other city or area tour you have ever done. This tour will spawn fond memories of your tour for years to come. Dinner tonight is at a French Canadian Sugar Shack. Once again, you have to experience it, to believe it. (D) 

Day 9, Wednesday, May 26th – This morning, you have the chance to explore Quebec City, then midday, your final rail journey returns to Montreal. Once again, your stay is at the Queen Elizabeth. Enjoy the rest of the day.

Day 10, Thursday, May 27th – Yes, all good things come to an end - this tour is no exception. On your return flight to the Salt Lake City International Airport sit back and recall many of your favorite moments and activities you have experienced during this one of its kind opportunity!

IMPORTANT: This tour requires a current passport. "Current" means the passport does not expire until at least 6 months after the end of the tour.

HOW TO MAKE A RESERVATION

Please send your $150.00 per person deposit to secure your reservation.  Final payment is due on or before April 16, 2010.  Reservations are on a first come, first serve basis and cannot be accepted without a deposit. Cancellations made prior to 75 days before the tour date are fully refundable with the exception of cancellation and medical insurance, which are non-refundable.

If possible, please provide us with a photocopy of the picture ID you plan to show at the airline check-in desk.  This copy is not required, but will help us make certain your airline ticket matches your ID.  When your ticket matches your ID exactly, you'll get checked on to your flight quicker and easier.

Smoking on buses is not permitted.  However, adequate rest stops will be made.

Due to the uncertain price in fuel, we can not guarantee the airfare price until the airline tickets are actually ran.

Cancellations

Cancellations made prior to 75 days before the tour date are fully refundable with the exception of cancellation and medical insurance, which are non-refundable.
