This scenic journey highlights the beautiful coast of Massachusetts along with a world of inspirational architecture and American history in historic Boston. Add to this, picturesque Vermont, and Canada’s capitol city, charming Ottawa. Then step into the unique world of Montreal and quaint Quebec City, an experience to look forward to! For your grand finale, enjoy the 

spectacular scenery, old-world covered bridges, crystal clear lakes and friendly people of New Hampshire.

ITINERARY

Day 1, Monday / Oct. 11th – Your transcontinental flight takes you into the fascinating and historic city of Boston, otherwise known as “Bean Town”! Why, you ask? Join us on this extraordinary tour to find out. After checking into your hotel for the next two nights, an unexpected dinner is yours to experience. (D)

Day 2, Tuesday, Oct. 12th – This morning following breakfast, an included city tour takes you to Boston, a fascinating combination of the old and the new, and its wealth of historic sights make it a “must see” visit for every American! Boston’s list of distinguished native sons include John Hancock, Samuel Adams, Paul Revere, Ralph Waldo Emerson, Daniel Webster and hundreds of others too numerous to mention. This exciting history comes alive with your local guide. She is a real kick! Relive the history as you sit back and soak up the great story of the American Revolution with a visit to North Church, and View Beacon Hill, Old South Meeting House, King’s Church, Copley Square, Faneuil Hall, the Boston Commons, and lots more. 

Following lunch (on own) your journey takes you to famous Plymouth, MA. Your first stop is on the waterfront in downtown Plymouth where you find the famous Plymouth Rock. Also anchored nearby is the legendary Mayflower II. This is a definite Kodak moment. Take time to go aboard and meet the captain and crew for a delightful time.

Next, Plimoth Plantation (yes, it is spelled correctly), is a living museum reconstructed in the original settlement of the English colonists also know as Pilgrims. In this 1627 English Village, interpreters have been trained to speak, act, and dress appropriately for the period. They interact with their ‘strange visitors’ (YOU) in the first person. They will answer your questions and participate in tasks such as cooking, planting, blacksmithing and animal husbandry as they depict day-to-day life. Dinner is included and you may participate in some key historical events such as funerals, and special celebrations. (B & D)

Day 3, Wednesday / Oct. 13th –Your adventure continues into the awe-inspiring state of the Green Mountain Boys, Vermont. This, like so many US states, is one of the most beautiful. Vermont is famous for Norman Rockwell history. He was a great American and had the ability to catch Americana at its best and maybe worst. Enjoy the beautiful areas with an exciting train ride with photo stops along the way. Then it is on to your overnight located in the notable Green Mountains. Dinner is included this evening. (B & D)

Day 4, Thursday / Oct. 14th – Today, you cross the border into your friendly northern neighbor, Canada and continue to Canada’s amazing capitol city, Ottawa, Ontario. Ottawa was named after the Algonquin people, the Odawa! It is located on the Ottawa River, also known as Kichi Sibi which means Grand or Great River. In 1857, Queen Victoria appointed Ottawa as Canada’s capitol. Why was Ottawa chosen? The answer may surprise you. 

Day 5, Friday / Oct. 15th – There is so much to see and do in this extraordinary city and we cram as much into it as possible without killing you off! The famous Rideau Canal, the vibrant outdoor market, unique boutiques, fabulous museums, and great history will all be yours to enjoy with a local guide. Your tour includes: Embassy Row, Governor General’s property, and of course, the Prime Minister’s elite residence! An afternoon tour of the Canadian Parliament is also included. (D)

Day 6, Saturday / Oct. 16th – Following two exciting days in Ottawa, your grand experience takes you to Canada’s second largest city, Montreal, Quebec. History and culture abound in this charismatic and very French-Canadian city! Montreal is a walking city, but it is also easy to get around using public transportation. Take the time to breathe in the many attractions available. This afternoon, a local guide takes you on a modest-rate walk past Place Jacques Cartier, historic Bonsecours Market, Montreal’s city hall, Chateau Ramezay and much more. Dinner is included tonight at a very fun restaurant-pub! (D)

Day 7 Sunday / Oct. 17th – This morning enjoy a coach tour. You will be amazed at Montreal’s sky-scratchers! Your tour highlights the sea port, Olympic Park, exquisite Notre-Dame and much, much more. Explore your new home and surroundings, but if you need a suggestion, your tour director will have many for you. 

Day 8, Monday / Oct. 18th – Your short and beautiful drive today takes you north to quaint Quebec City, a historic walled city and the capital of the province of Quebec! There are only two walled cities in North America – Quebec and where? “Trash and Treasures” is the reward for the first person to tell us where the other walled city is. Your gorgeous hotel for the next two nights is in the heart of a lively neighborhood amidst galleries, antique shops, boutiques, and a number of fabulous restaurants which Quebec is deservedly known for. This afternoon, your Hyde Tour Director can’t wait to show you incredible sights within a block area next to the world-famous Chateau Frontenac and your home for the next two nights. Who knows what a funicular is? It is a must-ride!

Day 9, Tuesday / Oct. 19th – An incredible experience awaits your pleasure in an all-day professionally guided tour of Quebec City and fascinating area. Included is a visit to a traditional French-Canadian wood carver and copper shop, a delicious treat from an outside oven, Saint Anne De Beaupre in a typical French neighborhood, and majestic Montmorency Falls. Stops will be made in Upper and Lower Town where you can explore Old 

Quebec City with her narrow, cobblestone streets. This evening, a very unique French-Canadian Thanksgiving dining experience is yours to enjoy along with French-Canadian Entertainment! You may wish to bring along a spoon or two! (D) 

Day 10, Wednesday / Oct. 20th – Your travels return to the good old USA and into the White Mountains of New Hampshire where you soak up the colorful scenery. Mount Washington is famous for its unbelievable weather conditions in the winter! You will enjoy a fabulous cog rail to the top (thank goodness it’s not winter) followed by an included farewell dinner and your overnight! (D)

Day 11, Thursday / Oct. 21st – Enjoy your drive over the “Kank” (Kankamaugus Highway) is totally amazing! The array of color must be seen to be appreciated. Be prepared for a sensory overload! Photo stops will be made along the way. Relax and soak up the natural beauty of this gorgeous area. You definitely will not be ready to leave New Hampshire this morning as your tour concludes back in Boston, MA. You do leave with a much greater appreciation for your American heritage and “Color Country” as you bid a fond farewell to the East and fly West taking with you memories and lots and lots of photos to enjoy in the winter months to come! Please send your $300.00 per person deposit to secure your reservation.  Final payment is due on or before September 3, 2010.  Reservations are on a first come, first serve basis and cannot be accepted without a deposit. Cancellations made prior to 75 days before the tour date are fully refundable with the exception of cancellation and medical insurance, which are non-refundable.

If possible, please provide us with a photocopy of the picture ID you plan to show at the airline check-in desk.  This copy is not required, but will help us make certain your airline ticket matches your ID.  When your ticket matches your ID exactly, you'll get checked on to your flight quicker and easier.

Attention: If special assistance is required, tour patrons are advised to have a partner along who can assist them.  This will make the tour more comfortable for you and our other travel friends.

Smoking on buses is not permitted.  However, adequate rest stops will be made.


Cancellations

Cancellations made prior to 75 days before the tour date are fully refundable with the exception of cancellation and medical insurance, which are non-refundable.
