Day 1, Thursday / Oct. 2nd - Your transcontinental flight takes you into beautiful Quebec City, a historic walled city and the capital of the province of Quebec! There are only two walled cities in North America – Quebec and ? “Trash and Treasures” is the reward for the first person to tell us where the other walled city is. | and a number of fabulous restaurants which Quebec is deservedly known for. Explore your new home and surroundings, but if you need a suggestion, your tour director will have many for you. Who knows what a funicular is? It is a must-ride!
Day 2, Friday / Oct. 3rd - An incredible experience awaits your pleasure in an all-day professionally guided tour of Quebec City and fascinating area. Included is a visit to a traditional French-Canadian wood carver and copper shop, a delicious treat from an outside oven, Saint Anne De Beaupre, in a typical French neighborhood, and majestic Montmorency Falls. Stops will be made in Upper and Lower Town where you can explore Old Quebec City with her narrow, cobblestone streets. This evening, a very unique French-Canadian Thanksgiving dining experience is yours to enjoy along with French-Canadian Entertainment! (D) |

Day 3, Saturday / Oct. 4th - As your adventure continues, you follow the famous St. Lawrence River and then the picturesque St. John River. A stop will be made in Hartland, home of North America’s longest covered bridge – a definite Kodak moment. Then, your journey winds your way to Moncton, New Brunswick and your overnight. Dinner is once again included. (D) |

Day 4, Sunday / Oct. 5th – A short drive this morning takes you to Bay Field, New Brunswick where you cross the incredible Confederation Bridge to Borden, Prince Edward Island (lovingly called Canada’s little jewel)! This bridge is one of the world’s most ambitious engineering projects and was opened in June, 1997! It is the longest (8 miles long) bridge in the world over ice-forming waters and crosses the Northumberland Strait, which is part of the Golf of St. Lawrence. After crossing the bridge, a color feast awaits you on this tiny island that is about the size of Delaware. Your professional guide takes you to a beautiful 25-mile stretch of pink-sanded beach on the north shore for a photo stop. Another stop is at the site of Green Gables, made famous by Lucy Maud Montgomery in her famous book, ‘Anne (with and e) of Green Gables’. Your guided tour covers a good portion of the island including their massive potatoes fields and fishing villages. Do you know how to tell how old a lobster is? Your guided tour ends in Charlottetown, the capital of P.E.I., dating back to 1722 and is called the birthplace of Canada. Your overnight is in Charlottetown and dinner is included this evening. Day 5, Monday / Oct. 6th – Following breakfast, a short ferry ride transports you from Wood Island, P.E.I. to Caribou, Nova Scotia. Your journey continues to Halifax, capital of Nova Scotia, and your overnight for the next two evenings. Day 7, Wednesday / Oct. 8th – The grandeur of the Nova Scotia coastline is yours to enjoy as you meander from Halifax to Yarmouth. Following the famous “Light House Route” your coach takes you to the picturesque and beautiful fishing village of Peggy’s Cove, one of the most photographed spots on the Canadian Atlantic Seacoast! The lighthouse at here is placed on huge granite rocks reaching into the pounding sea. On to Yarmouth where you board the Bay Ferries “CAT”, the fastest car ferry in North America. We call it the Concorde of the Seven Seas! It is the only ferry that can “fly” 900 passengers and 240 vehicles across the ocean at highway speeds. Designed for ocean conditions, the 91-meter (300 foot) catamaran glides smoothly over the Bay of Fundy to Bar Harbor, Maine and cuts a six-hour crossing on a traditional ferry down to two and one half hours – hardly long enough to even get sea sick! |

Back in the good ole’ U.S. of A.! You are sure to enter the state of Maine amid splashes of color and the awe-inspiring Cadillac Mountain in Acadia National Park. Your overnight is on the rugged seacoast of Maine. Of course you cannot go to Maine without sampling their famous lobster and blueberries. Dinner is included tonight and for those of you who think you don’t like lobster (sillies), you may choose chicken. Your travels then take you into the White Mountains of New Hampshire where you soak up the colorful scenery for the next two days in a rural country inn. Dinner and breakfast are included both days. Relax and soak up the natural beauty of this gorgeous area. (B&D)
Day 9, Friday / Oct. 10th – After breakfast, your drive over the “Kank” (Kankamaugus Highway) is totally amazing! The array of color must be seen to be appreciated. Be prepared for a sensory overload! Photo and shopping stops will be made along the way. Upon returning to your hotel, you may choose to take a canoe ride on Purity Springs Pond. Many of us prefer to call it “Palmer’s Pond”. For the rest of this story you must join us on this adventure! Take time to stroll through the nearby bird sanctuary, play shuffleboard or curl up on the porch with a good book! Oh yes, you can always do your laundry – yuck! Day 10, Saturday / Oct. 11th - You definitely will not be ready to leave the resort this morning, but more beauty and exciting experience await you today! A short drive takes you to the interesting and historic city of Boston, otherwise known as “Bean Town”! Why, you ask? After lunch on your own, join us on this fantastic adventure and find the answer! Greater Boston is a fascinating combination of the old and the new, and its wealth of historic sights make it a “must visit” for every American! Boston’s list of distinguished native sons includes John Hancock, Samuel Adams, Paul Revere, Ralph Waldo Emerson, Daniel Webster and hundreds of others too numerous to mention. This exciting history comes alive with your local guide. She is a real kick!
