They are Shakespeare’s vibrant comedy, ‘Much Ado About Nothing’, the Bard’s tragic comedy, ‘Merchant of Venice’, the beloved ‘Pride & Prejudice’, and Alfred Hitchcock’s hilarious mystery spoof, ’39 Steps’! What a schedule and one you don’t want to miss!

ITINERARY

Day 1, Wednesday, July 14th – You depart the Wasatch front this morning, and a continental breakfast (with pastries, milk and juice) will be served along the way. Rest and lunch stops will be made for your convenience. Your next 2 overnights are in Cedar City. This afternoon Jane Austin’s most popular novel, ‘Pride & Prejudice’ hits the stage. Life is portrayed in the genteel society of the day, and Mr. and Mrs. Bennett are desperate with five daughters and NO sons! Oh, my! However amidst misunderstandings ending in mutual enlightenment, their quick witted daughter, Elizabeth and the haughty and very handsome Mr. Darcy make all of their lives an interesting cliff hanger! This delightful and romantic play is sure to be a hit!

Dinner is included tonight followed by one of Shakespeare’s favorite’s ‘Much Ado About Nothing’. Love is a game of wits when opposite lovers collides. To Beatrice and Benedict love is all about amusement and just to pass time, but Hero & Claudio consider it just that, wonderful love! Do you think a double wedding is in the air? Anything can happen in a Bard’s tale! (CB & D)

Day 2, Thursday, July 15th – A full hot breakfast is included this morning and then you are at leisure until after lunch. Considered the most entertaining show on Broadway, the hilarious thriller, ‘39 Steps’ is sure to capture you full attention! What do you get when you combine Alfred Hitchcock’s masterpiece with a juicy spy novel, and a dash of Monty Python? Answer: an intriguing, thrilling, riotous comedy smash! This fast-paced tale is side-splitting fun for theatre-lovers of all ages!

Following dinner your last production is Shakespeare’s controversial ‘Merchant of Venice’. Is it a thought provoking tragicomedy or a love story? You, the audience will decide! Portia, Shylock, Bassano, and Antonio create havoc at every turn. This play highlights passion, disguise, justice, mercy, torment, beauty, love, forgiveness, witty, romantic all rolled in one. It is sure to be dramatically memorable. Sound confusing? Now you know just why it is called a tragicomedy! Can’t wait to hear your impressions!

Day 3, Friday, July 16th – A full breakfast kick starts your day and then it is homeward bound. Games, movies, bingo, stories and jokes, plus a surprise stop makes your return to the Wasatch front zip by!
